ExpertReviewHQ participates in affiliate programs, which means we may earn a commission if you purchase products through links on our site. This page explains what that means, what it does not mean, and which programs we participate in.
How Affiliate Links Work
Some of the links on ExpertReviewHQ are affiliate links. If you click one of these links and make a purchase, we may receive a commission from the retailer at no additional cost to you. Affiliate links help support the ongoing operation of the site, including research, content updates, and maintenance.
Programs We Participate In
ExpertReviewHQ is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. This is currently our only affiliate program.
Participation in an affiliate program does not influence which products we recommend. If a recommended product is not available through an affiliate program, we recommend it anyway.
What Affiliate Relationships Do Not Affect
Affiliate relationships do not influence:
- Which products are included in our reviews
- Which products are recommended or ranked
- How products are described or evaluated
- How expert consensus is assessed
Products are not included or excluded based on commission rates or commercial relationships. ExpertReviewHQ does not accept sponsored rankings, paid product placement, or compensation in exchange for favorable reviews. Brands do not pay to be featured, ranked, or recommended.
How We Choose Retailers
For each recommended product, we typically include an affiliate link to Amazon. We sometimes also include a second link to another retailer or the manufacturer’s own site, if they sell the product directly. If Amazon does not carry a particular product, we include a purchase link to another retailer anyway — even though we earn no commission from those links.
Retailer selection is based on product availability and reader convenience, not on which retailer offers the highest commission rate.
Link Markup and Identification
Affiliate links on ExpertReviewHQ include standard markup attributes (such as rel="sponsored") to comply with search engine guidelines. This markup is a technical classification that tells search engines the link has a commercial relationship — it does not mean the content surrounding the link is sponsored or paid for. All editorial content on the site is independently produced regardless of whether affiliate links are present.
